Method For Preparing Silicone Sealant
In December 2025, Yangzhou Keyue New Material Technology Co., Ltd. filed a patent application (Publication No. CN121450291A) for a "high-temperature resistant silicone sealant." The key technical feature involves enhancing the sealant's resistance to thermal oxidation, creep, and ablation by incorporating heat-resistant nanoparticles with a cerium oxide@zirconium oxide core-shell structure, alongside heat-resistant reinforcing agents such as zinc borate or polyborosiloxane.
In November 2025, Guangzhou Jitai Chemical Co., Ltd. filed a patent application (Publication No. CN121379519A) for a "silicone sealant, its preparation method, and its application." The technology utilizes a hydroxyl-terminated fluorinated polysiloxane as the base copolymer and incorporates titanate-modified fillers (such as titanate-modified aluminum hydroxide and zinc borate) to improve long-term strength and adhesion performance in high-temperature, oil-immersed environments.
The production of silicone sealant primarily involves steps such as raw material preparation and mixing, base material grinding, ingredient blending and dispersion, vacuum dehydration and degassing, and filling and packaging.
Common production equipment configurations include the traditional method-using a kneader to prepare the base material followed by mixing in a separate mixer-and the modern method, which employs a high-power disperser to simultaneously handle base material preparation and mixing.
The production process flow is as follows: raw material preparation and mixing take place in a kneader or high-power disperser; the base material is ground using a three-roll mill; ingredient blending and dispersion are carried out in mixing tanks and multifunctional dispersers, accompanied by vacuum dehydration and degassing; and finally, the product undergoes press-filling and packaging.
