This obscures the glass, mars its surface clarity, reduces its ability to reflect thermal radiation, and significantly compromises its thermal insulation performance, effectively negating the value of the insulating glass.
"Warm-edge spacers" operate on the same principle as the thermal break strips used in thermally broken window frames. They possess a much lower thermal conductivity coefficient than standard aluminum spacers, thereby reducing heat loss through the glass.
